MARCH 15TH SMASH BRAWL, IIDX, POP'N, ID4, TWINKLESTAR SPRITES TOURNAMENT INFO HERE:
Reno, NV / March 15th - Huge Tournament Day!

Atlantis = IIDX GOLD, pop'n music FEVER!, Stepmania, Pump NX2, Initial D 4

Peppermill = Pump NX1, Wangan 3, GF/DM V, laggy IIDX RED.

Circus Circus is a shell of it's former self.

Anyone in or around the Greater Reno/Sparks area, feel free to post here. People not in Reno should poast alsos

O_o I've seen pictures of the Stepmania cab and it looks awesome. The songlist is just...wow, that's something I'd like to try playing.

Update.

As of yesterday, The Atlantis now has SuperNOVA.

So, at the moment, "A-Land" has three arrow-smash cabinets: Extreme (2 tokens, Joint Premium), SuperNOVA (4 tokens for each player), and Stepmania (3 tokens, Joint Premium).

aww man that makes me mad, I was there just two weeks ago (i'm from San Francisco-ish) and there was only an extreme and the sm cab. I must say though, those two machines were the best machines I've ever played on: supurb pads, $.50 joint premium, and I'm able to play Post and Brilliant OU 2 on a real pad.

awesome arcade Atlantis has.

For those who might be interested, the Peppermill Hotel/Casino is re-opening their arcade on March 19th, with a brand new location (on the skywalk connecting the parking garage to the casino itself), and a whole slew of new games.

Pump It Up NX will be there, as well as GF/DM V (first GF/DM in Reno, IIRC). Oh, and IIDX RED....THE LOCAL BEMANI CREW HAS BEEN FUCKING BEGGING FOR IIDX AC FOREVER

However, whether or not the monitor has any game-breaking delay is still up in the air. Unfortunatelty because the arcade itself isn't fully populated yet, a test run couldn't be arranged.

Just throwing that information out there to those who want to know... ^^

As for Stepmania AC, we're planning a massive overhaul of the songlist in the near future.

I'll be there for the private arcade "test" opening for all employees and their family members. For once, I approve my Mom working there. ^^;

I will also make sure whether the IIDX cab is the gamebreaker cab (with the replaced monitor) that the whole Reno Bemani crew has been iffy about (most likely is!).

I'll post my findings here since Bahamut Forever is down. And those who I have phone numbers for will probably hear about the news first!

And thank GOD some place has Pump that isn't clear across the city. Love is a Danger Zone 2 NM, here I come!

Well, the employee free play day was somewhat of a success. Of the Bemani there, DDR was constantly being played by everyone. GF/DM had a bunch of plays. People didn't realize that the center pad did something for Pump, so that was hardly played. And IIDX.....well....let's just say that people were scared after one song on beginner.

The sound level will be fixed by Monday, as that's probably what I'm working on tomorrow. Other than that, things are looking pretty good.

Well, the employee free play day yesterday was a success. Bemani-wise, DDR was surely the biggest hit (no big surprises). GF/DM surprised some people, but the volume was a bit too low, turning some people away. Pump was downright confusing for most people, as they didn't know how to change/choose songs (yes, it's sad). As for IIDX, well.....lets just say that it'll be the last to break (unfortunately).

As for Stepmania AC, we're planning a massive overhaul of the songlist in the near future.

I have a funny feeling that the Red is not going to be fully unlocked because I think it's the Circus Circus IIDX Red. But that's just me.
