The Peppermill has GF V (I don't know if they fixed DM yet, though). If the Atlantis got GFDM, they would be complete.

I'm definitely pro Atlantis getting GF&DM, but I understand there's a bit of a budget constraint right now. I'd still tear up the IIDX though, although I'm in a bit of a slump since I haven't played in quite some time (I NEED A NEW CONTROLLER GRRRR)

In other news, the Atlantis is getting Initial D AS4 and Pump It Up NX2 today. I don't know if the NX2 will have a USB slot or not, but it's still NX2.

I just had a little vacation in Reno and stayed at the Peppermill. Having not played DDR for some 3 years, I decided to drop down into the arcade and take a break from the partying.

Anyways, to make a long story short, I spotted the Stepmania AC and, to my delight, saw one of my stepfiles (Pandora from TM5). Problem was, the char file was not displaying properly in the artist area. Is there any way someone can fix that? Or change the .sm file to just display the artist name of "Goofy".

It was nice playing my stepfile on an arcade cabinet. Definitely was nostalgic. Nostalgic enough to bring me back to the community to make this reply.

While I am at it, how's the scene been these past few years?

It's a problem with the theme. When I start working again (probably in the next month), I'll see if I can put a better theme on.

As for the Bemani scene, it's doing alright. I haven't been to the arcades in a while, but there was a IIDX and pop'n tournament a couple months ago, with a SM tournament coming up next month at the Atlantis. We're not a big community, but we're close.

[edit 2-2-09] I heard that the Atlantis is now putting custom songs on the IIDX cab.

Kenchan showed me the custom song update - cute. Very cute. I know someone who would break down and start playing IIDX if IOSYS happened upon it.

Alas, it'll be a while before I actually do experience this, but nice to know you guys have somethin' sweet going up there
