and also with 7 keys doesn't make it easier for new comers either

It might've also been the fact that Happy Sky lacked the green number on the right of the Sudden+ lane cover. I've discovered that having that number at 287 drastically increases my playing skill.

Aaaaaaalmost have a AA on Love is Orange [BA], and passed Marie Antoinette [A] with relative ease.

Well your first mistake was putting Happy Sky in, who needs HS when Empress is out. Second I agree. something weird about the Timing in Empress. I cant quite put my finger on it. maybe it is more accurate but at the same time the song framerate seems slower, but I dont know. i use more towel sometimes on certian song or higher speed(4.5). its weird.

Damn! I'll have to give those another play tomorrow and see if I improve. I've been swamped with work since last Thursday, so I've been too busy to play much at all since then.

I asked at Gameworks today about the prospect of getting new versions of IIDX, and was told the best way would be to call the Gameworks head office directly to make the request known. Depending on how well that goes, I'll post the phone number here tomorrow in case anyone else wants to let them know.

Edit: Abyss-THR[b] is a really fun chart.

Gameworks randomly got these the other day. 4 credits a pop, and the volume is really low.

also to mention:

-the cab is a mini cab not the one that MGL used to have or the one at AI

-1P turntable is very stiff

-timing is very tricky

-playing on the 2p side will make 1p playable (you can't single 2p unless you enable BATTLE modifier)

-techs told me that they are going to fix the sound and the 1p TT

i came so close to topping seruji

Ohh... that's why it was doing that. I tried going all doubles on it, but the lack of decent sound just made it all the more frustrating.

Did MGL ever have an original 5-key? I remember them having BMIII Append Core Remix, but if they ever had an original BM it was many, many years ago.
