If you're going by subway, get out exit 2 at Apku station, line 3. Keep walking and walking and walking until you see the Galeria department store across the street. Right across the department store, there's a small road that heads in. Make a right there and you'll see the arcade right in front of you -- second floor. Sorry if my directions are not precise; i'm on an army base doing my service and I can't get out to Seoul frequently enough.

I just got back from there, ill edit with pics tomorrow. they have DJTroopers which is badass, but the LCD that they use IS NOT. such lag that burns the eyes. at least they had a headphone jack deal rigged up on it so i could use my awesome set on them.

Nope. In fact, there is no official Bemani distribution like other Asian countries. All of the machines have to imported, like in the US. Hopefully Konami will wise up and sell their products in Korea soon, there's definitely a big market for it nowadays.

Can anyone give me a more precise description on how to get to Joy Plaza?

I went out on exit 2 from Apgujeong Station and walked around a lot all over the place near the big department store but I couldn't find it.

I have only been here in Seoul for 2 days so I'm not really familiar with anything yet.

EDIT: Hmm, never mind, I just realized that I was walking near the Hyundai Department Store and not the Galleria Department Store. I'll go search for it again later today.

Yeah, when you come out the exit, immediately turn around and then go right. You can keep walking straight down that street or take just about any bus until you can see the Galleria on your left. It's a huge building covered in a giant picture. There's no windows on the side you can see. Then take a right at a convenience store (should be a Seven Eleven) and walk about a block down that street and you'll see a little sign that says Joyplaza. It's on the second story above some karaoke place. If you look up you can see some Pump It Up stuff in the window and a little sign with "Joyplaza" scrolling by.

And a side note about bemani in Korea. Just before I left one of the big music game arcades got another brand new Drummania V4 machine, this time with Korean writing on all the instructional stickers. So there's some distribution starting there.

I guess that emphasises the point that BEMANI maybe coming back to Korea officially

That and the Jubeat location test held in Gangnam a few months ago.

Only this time, all the games ARE NOT BUTCHERED (meaning Japanese songs.....are still sung in JAPANESE, etc.).

I do hope that the relaunch of BEMANI over there happens
