i havent seen a korea thread or anything, so imma plant a flag here. (its a puerto rico flag

)

i mostly want to find some people that i could possibly hang out with to find and play a IIDX machine. im tired of EZ2DJ... its alright but it will never beat the original.

All right, there is one IIDX in the JOY PLAZA, located in APGUJEONG.

The price seems to be 500KRW right now, btw the widescreen LCD is installed; well i noe nothing about widescreen LCD but it surely is wide -_-

anyway that's all i know for IIDX in Korea

Hey look a thread revival.

I'm living in Daegu this fall and I'm wondering where the best places are to go. I play PIU and EZ2DJ (lol, only EZ2Catch) at two arcades that are very close to my campus (Kyung Pook), and I go to an arcade by the Academy Theater, but this is all I know of. I'm only concerned about PIU locations, so spare me info on arcades that lack it.

dude, its korea. you cant blink without seeing a pump machine. i know of a small arcade near a movie theatre in seoul's yongson district that has pump. its a building where i buy my gundam models.

Well the thing is that I don't care about every single PIU location. I only care about the good locations. To me, a good location has crowds, some regular good to OMG players, and a quality pad and cabinet. Only one machine near me can be considered good. The other two (that I know of) are crap for the most part, except that one of them gets crowds of 10-20 people on a regular basis. I suppose temperature should also play a role in a good location. Not too hot and not too cold.

These are the kinds of locations I want to learn about.

The Apku Joyplaza has a high-Q Pump NX machine and the arcade is frequented by hardcore players*. Even the opening time is from 9AM to 4AM the next day (5 hours for break).

Last I checked, the Enter arcade in Shinchon has 3 well-maintained Pump machines and are also frequented by hardcore players in that area.

*I've only seen IIDX, GF/DM hardcore players, yet to see a Pump player there.

I spent $82 on a KTX ticket to go there on Saturday and stayed all day. Well worth it. lol

I'm the first and currently only non-Korean to play NX2. Boo-yeah.
