I want to go as well. Saving up and finding a good time to go is hard.

The experiance would be amazing and of course the arcades and food, etc.

I go to Japan every year for summer, but this year I can only go for a week. Very fun place to go. My dad's from an area really close to Tokyo so I get to see the city-life and go shopping, while my mom's side is a bit more laid back and lives on the countryside.

All my relatives give me ¥10,000 each so I have a shitload of money to do shopping, then I bring it back to America through the currency exchange and buy even more shit.

My grandmother goes every few years, she has some paintings of birds on display somewhere, or something. She's an artist and I don't talk to her much because she's a weird, old artist. She's offered to take me a few times but I've never really had the desire to go. What is so amazing about Japan?

Yeah, but Pachinko isn't fun when you have to do shady deals in the parking lot to get money for your winnings.

I wasn't about to talk to a man in a black sedan for a few thousand yen...

Shit, what was the age you needed to play Pachinko, 18? My uncle let me play once and I scored big but one of the employees kicked me off (I was probably 11 or 12). My dad said when he was younger, he could play. x(

Nomi: You play Bemani games, right? That should be a good reason to go to Japan. I always look forward to whoring all the arcades, but my mind gets swept away by everything else.

I would be the same way.

Playing games would be on my list, but saying I would go there just to play is a complete lie. I know myself would walk around and meet all different people and go to cool places and shop.

Unhappy

I want to go back because I miss my friends there from my year abroad. ;_; I can never stop thinking about them; the best friend I ever had is there. We still email each other, but it's not the same.

SO when I save up enough money I am definitely going back to Osaka, and am seriously considering doing my grad work at Osaka College of Music to get a masters in percussion. Hopefully, they'll also let me study some traditional instruments as well, like taiko and koto. I figure the more world perspectives I can experience on music, the better chances I'll have of making better music in my career.

im living in japan. not in a big city though.

here's a little fact: u can't go far if you speak nothing but english in japan. big cities like tokyo n osaka maybe (a big MAYBE). others, i don't think so. the japanese suck at english. big time.

(but i dont think its a bad thing. cos u see that other counties like france, germany, russia etc. don't use english as their main language)

no offense. peace.

anything u guys wanna ask about japan, im free to answer.
