Platinum Crew AU? Platinum Crew International? | Platinum Crew AU doesn't exist nor will it ever unless we manage to fork out the money for server costs and licensing. We'll be using Platinum Crew U.S. (hereby referred to as "International", for all intents and purposes) due to our purchasing the cabinets directly from PM Studios.
Michael Yum has already let us know that PC International servers will be online soon, with a tentative starting date some time in December. With that said, because we will be on the International servers, expect lots of challenges from U.S. players, especially around the California area where the game is still played like crazy.
In any case, I -or bemaniStyle- will let you guys know on any updates. For now, don't play the game too hard or it'll get boring real fast. Once you pass Son of Sun TP, it's kinda downhill without Platinum Crew... :<
Edit: One last thing, if you don't want your arcade to spend so much in monthly fees just to maintain a connection to Platinum Crew International, get other arcades to buy the game. Sounds kinda backwards since it will lead to massive arcade competition, but we were basically given an amount (in USD) per month of subscription and that amount will be spread evenly across all arcade owners who have Technika. And, from the sounds of it, we'll be needing at least 50 arcades to have Technika for it to be financially viable for arcade operators...

Technika is doing rather well so far in George st TZ. lots of ppl waiting in line to play, meaning you were lucky to get 1 game in per hour.

Oh so the price (i.e. monthly fee) becomes cheaper if more locations sign up for the service then? Did I understand it right? Btw, if I may ask, for the pricing scheme, does Pentavision charge payment based on the number of machines in each location (that are to be connected)? Or is it charge for one location (regardless of how many machines will be linked-up; similar to the pricing structure used by Konami for its e-amusement service)?
Thanks
P.S.
Oh and personally for me:
Atm, even without internet service, this game is already keeping me busy (due to the presence of the card system). That alone already gives me incentive to pursue this game further hehe

Marketplace Rating: 0 | mike yum hinted on his facebook account that the International Platinum Crew would be "free" which means every technika machine would get platinum crew without paying for any fees.
but we're still unsure of it.

but we're still unsure of it. | Nice if it were true (it's like that not-so-popular horse racing game which also had free internet service hehe). Anyways, I guess we'll just have to wait-and-see then
Before the year ends right?

Marketplace Rating: 0 | not-so-popular horse racing game? You mean that fugly thing that arrived in our local TZ last week that looks 5 years old already, some Sega game with a turn-of-the-century rear projection TV? :P Or that old awesome one which wouldn't let me name my horse "nads"?
BTW, LB, apparently the PIU machine at Phillip Island is no more and is now a SN1 cabinet with eamuse attachments for no apparent reason...see the Bemanipalooza thing.

Our local TZ stores have something similar to that as well.

speaking of the horse-racing game, i remember seeing those on every TZ store. a friend called it a "Kama Sutra Machine" because of how you play it.

I forgot the name of the horse racing game though....but it's *kinda* similar to those horse racing betting games (that you see in casinos and gambling places). Of course though you don't bet on money to win but when if your horse wins a race, then it gets points and stuff (somewhat similar to what Sega has).
But yeah, I really forgot the name of that game......
