Marketplace Rating: 0 | ok, so within this petition do signatures of people need to be current TZ members to have any kind of meaning? or can they be randoms (lol). how would i go about doing this?
the thing is, IIDX machines are DAMN expensive and dont tend to do exceptionally well in generating income outside of japan or asia. id like to think IIDX will do well, im just not sure how it would do to be honest. Playtime had a IIDX machine but the screen was FCUKED making it impossible to see anything and they never fixed it, and noone wanted to played it. Is this because its a bad game, or because of the broken screen? u just dont kno. if TZ ever bought one and it flopped, it could result in management never listening to us again. Ideally id like to play IIDX in the arcade, its just unfortunate there are only a handful of others like me who would be willing to play/know how awesome the game is.
on the other hand id think pop'n music will do far better in TZ. it appeals to both girls AND boys and costs a few thousand less than IIDX would. i have a friend in melb who i think is selling a popn music cabinet (9th i think?) do you think TZ would be interested in purchasing it at all?

I know John has a IIDX machine somewhere in QLD so Kev said it would be possible to transfer it... but no idea of it's condition and Kev said he would prefer a new one too.
I think pop'n would be more suited to the store, and given it's getting a PAL Wii release may give it more leverage for convincing ^_^ It would depend on machine condition I guess..
Basically I'm all for either IIDX or pop'n (or jubeat!). I think pop'n would be a bit more accessible and jubeat would be awesome if they ever got the local version out (though I'd rather the Japanese songs list).
So if you can get full names, address, mobile and powercard number (if they have one).... I'll speak to Kev about it again when I get a chance but I'm off this week, then he has leave so ^^; it'll be on the backburner till sometime September

If you want a IIDX cabinet you'll probably want a new one.

To my recollection it's been there as long as I've been playing IIDX with minimalian maintainence and hey it's not a perfectworld, the kids who regular that place have really trashed the machine and even ripped parts off it (like the TT emblems). It has certainly gone beyond the outer limits of it's life span.
I'd make the suggestion that you would want to invest in a new cabinet if you want to make a difference.

But really it should be new cabinet or bust. Just by getting a new screen and fixing some of the keys on the HS cabinet at funhouse I have noticed several new players come out of the woodworks to try and get into IIDX. It's not even an ideal screen for IIDX, but just by having an attractive looking cabinet in an easily accessable place all these people who likely have only heard of IIDX are getting motivated to get into it.
It's probably not enough people to be worth $18k or whatever a new cabinet costs but it's more then you would expect.

Box Hill Time Out sells them for $5.
Fret not, the stores in the U.S. sell them for like $10USD, so overall we're getting a better deal.
Interesting that you guys have it. I might head over there next week and play some courses

Register at Platinum Crew (works on IE, Firefox reported to have issues)
You must use your card on a machine which is online, then log in to the website above and choose TECHNIKA from the top menu. On the side menu will be Card Registration.
You can then use your card for Platinum Crew. Join club Timezone G ^_^

If the Technika machine stays in its new position near DM/GF, please turn the volume on the machine up, it's hard to hear when people play on DM/GF.
