They serve the same purpose pretty much, except that they are printed. I don't remember reading any printed reviews that didn't explain that beatmania was largely successful in Japan.

I don't think their fanbase excuses them from doing their research. Any way you slice it, I think it's still bad journalism.

anyway they're just catering to their audience, the gta/madden/spike tv type. bmus was sort of easy to make fun of, with funkytown and the hardcore dj theme, and para(PLEGIC ROFLOL) even more so. i never liked g4, and couldn't care less whether they have a low opinion of some of my favorite games. also, the whole OMG GH RIPOFF thing is really old and played out. is this really headline worthy? it's just going make alot of people mad.

also omg bad spelling on the internet, PWNED.

i think american reviewers would like beatmania more if they'd seen a distorted cab, or if maybe it was released a long time ago. they assumed it was new and that this was all there was. if they had just straight ported 10th, it could've at least been seen as a quirky japanese game.

AND OMG just wait til guitar revolution. can't wait to see how bad it ripped off gh.

It's extremely offensive, but somehow I felt it was funny to get a laugh out of it; except for that paraplegic crack, that was out of line. We all know none of that stuff is true.

SCREW G4!!!! Their network is everything is just crap now!!! Ever since G4 and TechTV merged the whole network has gone down the drain. I never watch the channel anymore. Besides XPlay never really has anything nice to say about Konami Music games.

Not very many places do. They all think "Oh noes it's the same stuff just different songs how ever is that going to appeal to new audiences lets just give it a 5/10 for that and not actually lok at the quality of what they give" kinda shit. I hate that. Who cares about new modes. Just new songs is all that matters.

Unless it's a really cool mode. Like ITG's marathon.

THAT is the show worth watching on G4. Yay for clips of obscure or import games that you didn't know about before, MINUS talking or any other outside comments. You are free to form your own conclusions.

I haven't seen these reviews yet, but I'm sure they'll be just like anything else on X-Play: crap.

As much as they deny it, these magazine and shows exist for only one reason. To Sell themselves! Thats it. For the exception of some indie online mags and whantot, thats pretty much what all of these magazines are doing.

I'm not trying to be insulting since I know you already know this, but I just can't understand why you're so upset by this. Its been like this for years now.

Honestly, thats why I like coming to this site. It's one of the very few gaming communities that isn't a bunch of immature kids with issues and there are plenty of genuine gamers. I can type "FUCK" and not be banned. Its just an example of the maturity and the good moderation that is hardly ever seen anymore in the gaming community.
