I've never even touched Beatmania, but I strongly agree with everyone, Beatmania has history (I know there's a lot of games) and plus don't consider it another game in the huge game pile of History, next time you come to a music game, google and research, please.

I'm an avid PPP player and I was born with a ankle defect but damnit I use it to play.

I just got done emailing them and I even said the words "shame on you" and gave them my two cents.

The summary is this: dear x-play, as a half japanese and half philippina I am deeply offended by your lack of sense when it comes to doing what you people do. How can you say that everything from Japan is weird when it comes to the point that most of the things that are imported here are from Japan too? Shame on you, guys. Shame on you."

Guys, let it slide. The more we complain about it the more money the make. Lawsuit just explains how easily offended we are, as does an online petition, E-mail, letter, or telephone call. Seriously, that's also how politics works. Feedback of any form simply adds to their notoriety and their popularity. If we sue them, they will probably countersue us for trying to prohibit their right to the First Amendment. If we manage to bankrupt them, someone else will take their place. Stop getting in a big fuss about it and live your life. People who have common sense will not take information from other gaming sources anyway and make their decisions based on their own thoughts.

This thread reached 7 pages since the beginning of this morning. G4 must be laughing their asses off.

GameSpot gives Guitar Heroes a pretty high rating, too.

And lock the thread, I think it's pretty much run its course.

Ok, seriously guys, I'm sure a bunch of you watch the show, or else you wouldn't care. You know they make fun of like, EVERY game! One of their interns dresses up as DRUNK LINK! The show is funny, not informative, not accurate. They cracked on RE4, which was decided to be one of the best games EVER at the time! Now, I do agree that they are uninformed about the history of the game (Beatmania), but that's only because it has no American history to speak of. For anyone who hasn't imported, or doesn't know people who have, it's the first one. And on top of that, the American version of beatmania is, in fact, crap in comparison with almost any Jap version. The entire staff had probably never even heard of the game before, and it is very difficult and very frustrating for someone who has never played it and/or has no particular interest in playing it.

ALSO!!! PPP is fun, but looks absolutely rediculous for anyone who hasn't taken the time you learn the actual dance. There is only one way to describe people still learning how to play, or that don't know the actual dance, and that would be flailing. (flailing. not failing. they are different words.)

i dont know, this is going to stick with me for a while. cant wait till guitar revolution comes out and xplay bashes that too...ugh

but yeh i dont even watch the show or anything, nothing on g4 for that matter. however, thats besides the fact that the "madden pwnxxorz" and "halo roxxorz" people will still laugh at anything bemani even though they play the most basic/overrated games ever

This is mostly correct except that I think that BMUS is a fine intro to the series for people who haven't played the franchise before

I was commenting about a few pages back how people were talking about death threats to them

I've already sent them my $6.42 worth of words, not as a Bemani fan, but as someone who researches. Which has been stated like a billion times.

Para was way more popular than Dance Freaks and Maniax, Para is on home console as well, which is why they did the review.
