Scar Tissue/Around The World/Californication are all popular as hell so they would be good choices, and I totally agree with Blood Sugar Sex Magik, but do you think would ever use a song like that?

So good, I'm tempted to make steps for it...
Otherside is another good pick. So is Parallel Universe - but you're right, too much bass, and GH is anti-bass as well.
...and if they must use Metal, they should give us Du Hast and some Powerman 5000. "When Worlds Collide" would lend itself to the game stylings.
