Just then, upon merely visiting Bemanistyle (the forum index, I believe, and I was logged out) I was outright redirected to one of those spam/popup sites ("YOUR COMPUTER IS BROADCASTING AN IP ADDRESS!") Not just an ad or popup or anything, I had to actually press the back button on my browser to get back to Bemanistyle.
I've also on occasion had a Javascript dialog box pop up asking me if I wanted to scan my computer or something like that.
Is this a problem with the ads here? I thought you might want to look into it.
It obviously doesn't happen every time I visit, but it also doesn't happen anywhere but here.

It makes me wonder if rather, one of the ads on this site is running something malicious. I do run Spybot and AdAware on occasion and they've never found anything - my computer doesn't do anything strange at all on any other sites or in normal operation.
Not happened to anyone else, I take it?

It was on one of the sim pages and I was logged in. I think one of the ads that loads in the frame on the sims page is trying to pull something with its own Javascript shenanigans.
It doesn't happen all the time, just on occasion.
