In the version of Firefox my school has installed (I think it's 1.5), a long signature extends into the next post. It's quite ugly, and I don't know what's causing it, as it was fine a few weeks ago.
In the version of Firefox I use at home (2.0), there's a box where you must scroll down or up if you want to see the whole signature. It's also ugly.
In Safari, I can show all the spoilers in k//eternal's signature, and it merely stretches the page. There is no text extending into the next post.
Does anyone else have this problem, and does anyone know what's causing it?

I was actually going to ask about why this was happening. I actually don't mind the scroll wheel that is if we may have as big of sigs as we like. Quote: |

| I haven't encountered this. Instead I've encountered people's user info to the left of post having this same effect. I was thinking wtf to it because it just started happening at random points on random users. Fletcher, that was one of the users it happened to.
As for Safari, or any other browser I don't know because I don't have them.

I had something similar occur earlier, exceot it was a different column that overflowed, but once I refreshed it went away. You sure it's not just a bad render that can be fixed with a simple refresh?

I'm not sure about the signatures extending into the next post though, that might have to do with some malformed HTML that the server is putting out, or possibly just a browser error on your end. Either way, I haven't noticed it, which leads me to believe that its most likely a browser problem. When you see it again, make a note of the URL, and post it in here, and maybe even upload a screenshot so we can diagnose what's going on by possibly figuring out where the error is in the code.

Also, wouldn't it look a little funny if I pulled out a camera and took pictures of the screen?
At least one older version of Firefox (pre-2.0 for sure, but I don't know which version exactly, just that it's for Mac computers) doesn't support this scrollbar, and the sig extends into the next post.
Safari seems to ignore the scrollbar altogether, but it stretched the page instead of having the sig extend into the next post. I unspoilered EVERYTHING in k//eternal’s sig, and no scrollbar appeared. I have yet to see what long signatures without spoilers look like in Safari. Quote:

However, the media center “specialists” don’t allow students to edit their preferences (e.g. desktop background) or install programs or updates (like updates to Firefox). The version of Firefox I must use at school is outdated. It sucks.

I would take a pic, but I don't have a digital camera. So I went to print, but when it printed everything looked fine. Then I tried refreshing the page, and everything was A o-k.

TheFlyingSquirrel: If you can find a page that consistently reproduces the error, maybe I can show the source code from it to a more technically inclined mac user with the same version of your browser, and we can figure out what is causing this problem.

Since I won't have access to school computers until Monday, that's all I can really say for now.

In safari it completely ignores the frame which is fine.

On a mac, you use apple+shift+3.
On pc it's a little more complicated.
The "print screen" key will take a screenshot. Press that and then go into paint. Once you're in paint, go Edit and press paste. It should paste the screenshot. Then save it.
