Server too busy

Here lately, I have been getting this message a lot.

I know that the servers get busy at times, but this seems to happen nearly everytime I load a new page on here. Is there a problem with the servers, have you switched servers, or has there just been that big of an increase in activity on this site lately?

It usually happens when we are doing something on the server that is pretty intensive. I was actually running something that probably caused that to happen. A lot of times though, it's just real busy. Also remember, these errors come from vBulletin. We didn't use to run on vBulletin before 7.0 so you wouldn't have seen them on 6.0.

However the server does have a lot of problems. It was down last night for a few hours because of a hard drive crash. We are still working with the problem and we will be putting a new drive in. We are hoping that sometime early next year to buy a brand new server.

I was getting the same message a few nights ago, when I was putting in scores on the tracker, and I was wondering why. Thanks for clearing that up for me, I thought I broke Bemanistyle, lol!

*EDIT* I just got the message again, right after I typed this post, lol. What are you guys doing to the server? Let's see, just in case it might be helpful *shrug* it happened around 10:55am EST. I hope everything's okay with the server. I don't want it to go down for a good while, again. That was horibble!

That's why I get that signal? I thought it was my crappy computer or something. That thing has screwed me over several times. A few nights ago it happened like five times in a half hour. I was going mad! But if it's for the good of the website, I'm okay with it.

This is why we all need to donate for a new server...

But yeah, I haven't actually had it happen in a few days either. Then again, my 'net connection's been so flaky that I haven't been on that much.

It was bad for a while, but like everyone else it's suddenly gone away for me as well.
