Thread not necessary?

So I posted in the DDR Simulation forum a thread with a video of Emerald Sword on an ITG machine. Upon posting, it said that it would have to be approved by a moderator before it would show up (wow has this place really become that bad?). So the next day, I check and it's still not there. I wait a few more days and come back to check again and now it is there, but locked right after the initial post, with a comment saying that the thread is not necessary. So if it's not necessary, then why the hell was it even approved by the moderator to show up on the forum in the first place? And what was so unnecessary about it anyway?

posting a thread about a video link doesn't contribute to the forum.

If that video is yours, then post it in the accomplishments thread

...and one more thing, that's a hacked ITG cabinet. It's not allowed in this forum

To add, the reason your post got sent to the moderation queue was because there was a trigger word in it that spam bots typically use to spam the forum.

We have the moderation queue set up for to prevent spamming. As Phuzion said, there was a keyword in your post and since you have less then 5 posts it was sent to be moderated first. I probably approved it without reading it because there was about 100 posts in the moderation queue, and I was just checking that it wasn't blatant spam.

I'm sorry to revive this dead topic, but I have to vent. This post moderation shit is pissing me off >.> . I just posted in the Computers and Technology forum because I'm having a problem with my home LAN. The reason I chose this forum to ask my question is because it's a relatively active forum, and I figured that I might get a quick reply here. And what do I get? I get my thread put into a queue to be approved by a moderator. Thanks.

After this post, you no longer need to deal with the moderation queue anymore. All posts, even those with the trigger words, will automatically skip the moderation queue.
