WAY to much flaming outside the boards

ok, I have not been on in a while, and for a good reason. There is way to much flaming ever since forum boredum came back.

I mean I was trying to sell a PSP, and then od course someone had to make an account over it.

There is also uncontrollable swearing towards others, and just flaming other people which most moderators ignore, and hell most of them are part of it.

Has anybody not gone over this before? Is this going to be the "forem ppl are big meen jerks!! 2.0" thread?

Is it just me, or has the forum been more mean-spirited recently?

That's just Dewgy. He didn't make an account, he renamed his main. He did this because it's pretty fucking funny. Deal with it.

Link to...anything, really. Apart from SilentSuzumiya who's already been addressed I'd love to see a single example of anything you're describing and a direct explanation for how FB's presence is causing it.

People thinking your posts are funny doesn't really make it flaming. If they were insulting you then that would be a different story. Most of this happens on Forum Boredom anyway, and only few people post on there to begin with.

The fact of the matter is there are a lot of assholes on these forums, and since its an open forum (and since some of them are even moderators), theres nothing that can be done. Take a break from the forums if you feel that you cant deal with it.

I'd like to take this moment to encourage everyone to try posting in forum boredom. The worst that can happen is a gigantic multi-page flamewar and the removal of your ability to make any posts therein.

o, well I have not been on in like a month posting in forums, but before I left, I got flamed like twice under theming (one was taken care of, I am not sure about the other, I was in a hurry). Also is there any way to report flaming when I see it, because I always want to, but I am not sure where (I feel like a nub).

Sure! If you look underneath a person's avatar and information (on the left side of the screen, next to their post) you'll see a button with an exclamation mark on it. Click it and you'll be allowed to fill out a report form, which will be sent to the moderation team. We'll review it and intervene if necessary.

Also bear in mind that moderators don't always step in to tell people to shut the hell up. Usually I'll just hand out infractions and move on, since I think that usually people will get the idea that they've done something they shouldn't have. The fact that you don't see mods posting right after an incident doesn't mean they're not paying attention.

I think we should make an "everyone be nice to OMEGA forum." Since he apparently needs to waste the mods time so that nobody makes fun of his PSP. It's not a big DEAL!
You were trying to sell a PSP for $500 just because it was signed by some big fat guy that yelled at other fat guys in order to win a football game after "shuffling" in the lockeroom back in 1985. My god, if all it took to make a quick $500 was to get some fat guy to sign his name for me, I would just work at IHOP and steal the credit card transaction reciepts.
I'm sorry if everything you happen to post on these boards end up being massive lulz, but you seriously act like you've never posted on a forum before (you actually sound like you just migrated from DDRFreak and GameFAQS). Shit, I've been lurking these boards on and off for years, and haven't had NEARLY as many posts as you. I don't know how you have yet to understand how shit works here.
