Default Anyone that has Keyboardmania 2nd & 3rd Mix

Could anyone that has Keyboardmania II do me a huge favor and look in the manual for the list of supported keyboards and scan it/type it up/take a picture of it/whatever? It's that last thing I need to complete this list.

I was e-mailed about this recently, was that you? Anyway, IIRC, the manual doesn't have a complete list of supported keyboards (like GFdm), but it'll have recommended or keyboards that Yamaha endorses, but you should be able to use some other USB keyboards.

Yeah it was, I figured I'd ask here though because there's a greater chance someone could help

Well in any case I'd still like the list of recommended keyboards to put on that list of games and controllers, then I'll be finished with it

Keyboardmania II Manual Scan

Here's a scan of the page in Keyboardmania II which shows the different controllers that can be used in the game. Not a whole lot of info.

Ahh, OK

Based on various information I came across I was under the impression there was a list of officially supported keyboards, but the list of supported keyboards is basically "all Yamaha synthesizers, all Yamaha portable keyboards, all Yamaha digital pianos, and all Yamaha organs"

Thanks for the scan though!

As strange as it may sound, EZ-250i, while being USB-based, does NOT work. The japanese version of EZ-250 is even shown in the manual, but that's probably because it has midi ports.

My guess is that the only keyboards that works are the keyboards that are compatible with the old (1999?) version of YAMAHA UX-16. Since that's the only drivers that are built into the game as far as I know. USB-based keyboards doesn't work at all by the looks of it.

From the looks of it any MIDI keyboard should be compatible with the UX-16 as long as you plug it in correctly.

HOWEVER, somewhere along the line, Yamaha changed the hardware in the UX-16, and Keyboardmania II doesn't have drivers for the new UX-16 (Konami even issued a press release about this)

Sorry, I have no clue how to tell if you have an old or a new UX-16 or if there's any indication when you buy one, all I know is there's an old one that does work with Keyboardmania and a new one that doesn't
