BGM's in GFDM

If I'm not mistaken, most songs in GFDM each has 5 BGM tracks: Drumless, Guitarless, Guitarless-Bassless, Drumless-Guitarless, and Drumless-Guitarless-Bassless.

Now, I don't get something. Why are Guitarless and Bassless tracks separate from each other? Won't it be more efficient to just use the Guitarless-Bassless track and autoplay the Bass notes for Guitar playing? I mean, Guitar notes are autoplayed when you play only Bass; why can't they do vice versa as well?

I'm sure if they take out all the Guitarless and Drumless-Guitarless tracks of songs with playable Bass, they can have more room to fit in more stuff (like maybe the return of secondary guitar patterns? ). Surely that hasn't dawned onto them yet?

OH, actually, ATRAC3 encoded aren't too big, so even if you DID cut that out, it wouldn't make too much of a big difference. Now, if we had a higher-quality BGA type system instead of a MPEG-Video based system, we would be better off.
