Total Tokens: 93.74 Donate Tokens | Connecting ps2 Keyboardmania keyboard in a pc USB With MAME emulating Keyboardmania (but currently not working properly), I was think of buying a PS2 Keyboardmania controller to use once its finally emulated. My question is, when you plug the keyboard into the PC USB port does it detect the ps2 keyboardmania controler??
Thanks | |

And AFAIK, no one's successfully written drivers for them either. Unless I haven't been around that long.
Same with PPP sensors.

However if you're going to try getting a KBM controller, you may as well get the game, too. Seeing as it'll cost about as much and it's better to play on the PS2 anyway.

start and select do register and the 24 keys do | I assume those 6 keys are held down so the controller can identify itself?
I guess you could just play without the wheel turned off?

but since it was a USB device isnt the driver on the disc identifying the controller?

Is there any way to burn your own custom keyboardmania cd's? Like, with your own custom songs mapped to work in keyboardmania? I have no idea but it'd be nice to know since konami seems to have stopped developing new keyboardmania songcds.

As to custom KBM CDs: we wish.
The innards of KBM are proprietary, so developing append CDs for the game would require first reverse-engineering the entire game. It would be much more straightforward to simply re-implement the game for PC.
Unfortunately, KBM has a small enough following that there hasn't been a really good KBM simulator developed yet - hence the original poster's hoping that MAME will get KBM working. (That I know of. If I'm wrong, please hit me over the head and tell me, because I'm part of that tiny following and I should be contributing to the project.)
