It should work as a perfect GH controller in GH mode and a perfect GF controller in GF mode.
Ahhh that's a good idea actually. Please PM me if you get it working so I can get a few tips from you. Thanks

Yeah, mods, we should really have one of the 'GF with GH controller' threads, at least, stickied. It would save people asking the same question every week.

so whats the current take on this "build"?

i have a GH controller laying around and i'd rather use it for GF, the "switch" idea is pretty intresting, but if its more trouble than its worth, i'd rather have GF to play

any definate tutorial out or is the PSX board the way to go on this?

I'm working on programming a microcontroller to act as a playstation controller, kind of like that srayer.com guy calls option #2. The problem of the microcontroller not being fast enough is solved by getting one with SPI hardware built in, such as many AVR chips. That handles the serial communication for you so you don't have to work nearly so quickly to keep up. If I had guitar freaks I would totally hack my roommate's GH3 controller, but I don't.

As Wompa would put it, I beat this guy at 'neckbeardage', despite hating facial hair. I am impressed that there are so many extra inputs on that board. Pity there's no right.
