New DTXes start at $850 IIRC so good luck. :/

Yeah you could buy a Yamaha DTXplorer/Xpress/Xtreme and a MIDI-to-USB thingie and then connect the DTXplorer to the PS2, but that would probably cost a bomb since the cheapest is the Xplorer which costs like, USD$800. If you're looking for a cheap one I've heard of the Pacific Digital DrumXtreme, should fit within your budget.

Erm... the yamaha DTX-family/line-up is the canon ASC for DM. But maybe if you guys keep buying all Konami novelty stuffs everyday, I'm sure they'll come up with an arcade cabinet LE: Edition complete with autograph of composers and singers and retail it along DMV3 CS. So if the GF ASC controller is like $400, the DM ASC cabinet should cost liek.... .... .....

If you can afford an electronic full sized kit that's good, why not save up a few more grand and buy a DM machine?

- A current DM machine in good+ condition is probably more than "a few grand" more
- A DM machine is far bigger, far heavier, and much harder to move around and find a place for
- You can't play drums on a DM machine
- You can't play DTXMania on a DM machine

Not to mention that if a part breaks on the arcade machine (the circuitry, that is) you're much more fucked than you are if you just have to go replace your PS2. Arcade machines usually bring the risk of costly repairs since you have to try to import parts that aren't even supposed to be over here in the first place. It's getting harder and harder with Konami blacklisting places these days.
