Default DrumMania Bass Drum - Right or Left ?

Which foot do you use to do the bass drum ?

Personally, I use my right foot. I can hit the bass drum with more precision, and I just have more stamina in my right leg. I can use my left foot, but I'm not quite as accurate, and if there's a series of fast bass drumming, my left leg can't quite keep up with it. </3

I always thought the right leg was the only way to go. I hit the bass with my right foot since it's just alot easier and how its supposed to be I think. You would have to move your body around more to hit it with your left foot and that would just complicate alot more things.

It's intended to be the right leg (since that's the foot that plays the bass drum on a real drum set) but I suppose you can do it with either leg.

some drummers have been known to use either two bass drums or one bass drum with two pedals in order to play very fast bass patterns.

Well, I saw a Tatsujin video of someone playing Tiger,Too with the ending 184bpm triplet speed (IOW 255bpm - yeah compare Funky's 200bpm only) bass run using two feet... Like double bass on one pedal...

Oh well, Funky or Departure on double bass, any takers?

For real drum double bass set-ups, i believe the pedals aren't stuck right next to each other.. they are spread out so that the second bass pedal is close to the pedal on the hi-hat.. i think that's how it goes anyways. Because normally the drummer will have right foot on the bass pedal and left foot on the pedal under the hi-hat.

Lololol.

I like to use the bass pedal with my left foot after a long bout of playing, because my right leg tends to seize up a little, and gets cramped. Besides, I think it's fun and challenging to try and do a song with your left leg... it actually makes the song completely new, because my mind is so used to coordinating my arms with my right leg, so the left leg kind of switches things up.

Perhaps one day I can become ambidextrous with my legs and a bass drum ? =P

And this is why i'm a pianist and not a drummer.

Haha, the funny thing is im TERRIBLE at keyboard mania. Piano translates much better in GF and O2JAM as well. I also play the guitar, but that probably didn't help at all, because it's totally different. I think though that Piano helps with every rhythym game because it forces you to keep the beat with both hands and gives you great timing and rhythym.

Agreed. You have to have the separete thing for both your hands too I think(there's a rechnical word but it's basically having your hands not wanting to play the same thing. Erm, can't explain nevermind >_<)

btw I can't beleive I never saved that tiger too video. I didn't really get the description o fusing double bass but after I watched it I really want to try it out at the machine here. Unfortunately our stool/chair thing didn't go high enough D:

Uh, isn't "I alternate," and "I can use either" pretty much the same thing?

strictly speaking, 'i alternate' would mean i play one beat left foot, one beat right foot, one beat left, one beat right, etc etc etc.

i've never seen anyone doing that but it'd look funky as hell, i imagine. :P
