Total Tokens: 160,589.39 Donate Tokens | Drumstick sizes How can I REALLY determine the size of a drumstick? Yeah, it's indicated on the sticks with those numbers and letters (e.g. 5B, 7A, etc.), but I have to know what it does determine.
P.S. To the mods: If I posted this in the wrong forum, tell me and move it immediately.

if i'm not wrong...
A - all-rounded
B - band (as in marching band)
And I think there was one more, but it's very rarely seen nowadays... isit S (snare)?

what drumstick do you prefer?
For me, I use a lightweight 5A with a nylon tip. So far, this is what my money can get me but this has became my personal choice.

So far, the ones that I like are Vic Firths and John Otto sticks. I forgot one more name, but nvm.

I'll never use anything other than a 7A or a light 5A/5B, be it wood or synthetic material though I do have a tendancy to lean towards synthetic drumsticks because they can come in different colours and it's easier for me to identify my drumsticks.
Not to mention that playing with broken wooden drumsticks on a machine sucks like anything. D:

otherwise, I suggest middle size
