That means 1 non perfect allowed every 16 notes as compared to 20.
There is no perfect percentage requirement for extra stage.
Just get an S S A on your 3 songs or better on the average.

Update for e-amuse machines on how to unlock Extra/Encore stages:
Currently it's Extra Rush Lv 3, and it seems that "over there" is unlocked automatically without any requirements, only for card users. So, from speculation, it might be that "Micro Fin" would be unlocked automatically next season, Purple Storm the 5th, apxn the 6th, Mirage Residence and 7th, and henceforth...so basically it's like an automatic unlock for Encore stages 4 Levels after it appears... wtf, who can even get to the 3rd extra stage. it would be reali cool if i can get to it even once. the most i ahve ever gotten is 2 extra stages. But i can't get it anymore, unless i play all the easy songs on basic. i currently trying to play desert rain. | |

What Lilina means by "multiple encore songs" is that like V and V2, the encore stage you get to is actually dependent on how well you grind Micro Fin. I mean, how many perfects you get
Encore = 95 - 96
Premium encore = 97+
ATM for non-e machines, Purple Storm is the encore stage regardless of what you get, even excellent.
Now, can you go token whore elsewhere? lawl

There is no instant unlock for beating them like it was in the DDR home versions. Sorry.
edit : I assumed you were talking about the home versions of V and V2.
