Default Getting KBM controller to work on a computer?

Just curious if anyone's tried this yet. I have a Keyboardmania controller and a computer. Are there drivers out there to make the kbm controller into a full-fledged MIDI keyboard? It shows up as a controller, but I wonder if there's a way to change that.

The best I could think of, is using J2K and implementing it with something like fruity loops, which can use a normal typing keyboard as a musical keyboard.

Any ideas?

I think I remember seeing something about people use a usb to midi adapter or something like that a long time ago.

But I don't see a to why joy to key shouldn't work though so long as as you can press down mor ethen a few keys.
