Marketplace Rating: 0 | GF/DM U.S. Release? So, I can't seem to dig up any information on this from the "IIDX Gold Official Topic" over on the IIDX forum. Quote:
I will keep this topic up-to-date, please do NOT call the arcade because all current info is to be found RIGHT HERE!
Here's what's known:
Brunswick Zone in Naperville, IL is receiving a test IIDX GOLD machine in early march. They have already recieved two of Konami's new game Thrill Drive 4: Crazy Streets.
Update 1: I met two konami technicians who flew in to set up both games and BZ's arcade technician tonight and all three confirmed a test period of 2 weeks in early March. The machine will then go to some arcade show where konami will sell Gold machines (hopefully). After the show the manager has gotten approval and is dedicated to getting a machine. Update 3:
Supernova 2, GuitarFreaks and DrumMania are testing in Summer 2007[
Update 4: Gold in the US will retain the same songs as jp but have English localization (duh!)
|
If you look at the 3rd update it says something about Supernova 2 an GuitarFreaks and Drummania.
Does anyone have any information on this that they can enlighten me with?

Anywho, I would love to see a legit GF machine in the states. I guess drummania, would be badass, too. Probably wouldn't catch as much flack from GH fanboys if they saw DM. =D

However, I don't know though as to how Konami would handle that stupid MTV Drumscape thing + a potential lawsuit if ever.
I don't think Redoctane would go counter (probably for GF) but they can't touch DM that's for sure.

Hope they don't pull another US Guitar Freaks release (alright, NINE songs!)

After playing a DTX sim of "Move Along" by The All-American Rejects, I found it really, really fun, and it was surprisingly challenging (level 82) and fun.

EDIT: Crap, I just noticed the double post. Sorry 'bout that.
