I just got the DVD in the mail this afternoon (ordered from Playasia). I have to say it's absolutely amazing... from the technical insanity of songs like Purple Storm and over there, seeing what all the musicians actually look like, to the sheer awesomeness of Jet World performed by 30 musicians.

Just finished watching it, holy freaking crap...as in, I took a crap in my pants, that was awesome. Although it kinda sounded like Izumi was running away half the time on some of his songs, but eh. Would've LOVED to have seen Wish, but oh well, an incredible show...I wish they would do that here =/

One needs to have a valid i-revoID in order to access individual video pages. As it's been brought up by a few other people in this thread, one cannot help but to regret the fact that Bemani chose to not include these excellent songs and add significant value to the DVD, and to wonder why Bemani didn't simply go with a 2-DVD package that would allow it to capture the entire live concert......

And regarding the fact that they cut songs, it looks like they were trying to keep the release as inexpensive as possible. That much became apparent when I received my copy and saw that it was in a cardboard jewel-case-sized container rather than a full DVD case
The upcoming IIDX live DVD will be 2 discs, though.

I think they made the right choice to have it on 1 DVD. It's only about 23 minutes of music which they cut since most of them were game-length version, so there's not so much "wow".
Now that they've made the 9 songs available for download, it will serve as extra incentive for people to buy the DVD if they don't own it already. | |
