Ditto on what I attempted to post earlier, but it got erased. It's not that big of a deal, but it is interesting trivia. Maybe the in game music will sound good. Hoping he makes better songs, imo, he's kinda lost his touch. (New rotten blotch isn't that great either )

Anyway, I found a video full of previews, including the boss songs.

My impressions:
-The 96 songs kick ass.
-Both Asaki songs kick ass as well.
-The Des-ROW one sounds good.
-MU-DAI sounds like a beefed up version of One Phrase Blues.
-Dynamis sounds cool.
-There's one song I think I'm going to loathe because it sounds like a Riyu Kosaka squeaky song: からふるぱすてる

Been listening to the previews:

- 4 SONGS INSTEAD OF 3?! That's just that location, right? Or did Konami finally let us play 1 long song & 1 short song?
- My GOD, The Sound of Truth doesn't sound good...
- Terpsichore's banner reminds me of that one girl that was on that one ee'mall song on Masterpiece Silver, Munagoto no Umi. Even kinda sounds like the same singer.
- Not sure how I feel about からふるぱすてる....I'll need to watch the video/listen to the whole song.
- I can't WAIT to hear Electric Lady. In before "Model EL2" joke (speaking of which, no new Model song....So much for FT3...).
- Who's the artist for MU-DAI? It sounds like either Jimmy Weckl or Hideyuki Ono did it.
- As for the whole songlist, I really don't know yet. I'll either have to wait until V5 CS gets released, or someone releases all the songs on YouTube....In GOOD quality.

=Surreal= > In addition to what's already been mentioned, my guess is that the portfolio of Sound Director includes overall theme, song selection, presentation (volume, balance, tone), and editing and mixing (length, acoustics, effects). The system soundtracks (intro, menus, etc.) are likely done by the Composer (ショッチョー in V5) and not the Sound Director, though.

You know, after watching those Nico Nico videos, I don't think that it's just GF V5...... It wouldn't have been out of place for Bemani to add 10(+) points to DM V5's song ratings, either......

Wait until you have had a chance to watch / listen to からふるぱすてる in full length. It's moe and actually not bad. Same goes for the funny 田んぼの田

Listen to the announcer carefully when the Select Music sequence shows up. Compare it with GF7DM6-GFDM V4's. (GF10DM9 is different though)

Electric Lady sounds awesome. Reminds me a lot of Izumi's older stuff from that preview.. and speaking of Izumi, whoever sings "Power Game" sounds a LOT like that "Roxie" chick that appeared on his album. Unless she's already done other stuff for GFdm and I'm totally oblivious.

Dynamis and Force Interval Build sound completely awesome. Cannot wait to play those.

96 is getting quite some attention this time. Hmm.. you could do an entire 96 set with Chimera > Ichimodaijin > Force Interval Build. Assuming you can actually get encore with Ichimodaijin..

Just played it last night. Tried mirror mode. It is very wierd. Although where I play, people are decently gentle with the pads so mirror mode wouldn't be a necessity to even out the wear on the pads.

Damn too bad the new version reset my skill points. Now got to do it all over again.

Didn't notice the correction of "select a music" Ill check it again tonight.

Does US have it yet?

Number of songs per credit and how many short songs one long song 'counts' as are both set by the arcade operator, not Konami. They can be set from the management interface. Here in Vancouver, most arcades set three songs and long song counts as three when a new version comes out, then switch to four songs and long song counts as two after a few months. E-Spot even had one long song counts as one for a while, but they're back to two now. I think it can even be set to *five* songs per credit, but haven't actually seen a machine set to that yet. But yeah, that's not up to Konami, it's up to the machine's owner.

damn it's so annoying that atoms and "i forgot the name of the other song" have the same hi-hat pattern, it felts like playing the sqme song twice, shit... I played evey song beside encore/premium and most songs are quite huuu boring, i cant wait for next extra rush
