OK, and Lesson 5 isn't that bad...but her English is still atrocious. Really, how hard is it to sing in her damn native language rather than butchering English?

I would think that it's just the people that write the songs think it should be done in English. I read an interview with another band that did this, and he said that certain things couldn't be expressed in Japanese, which is why he used English.
...even though majority of the time us English listeners have no idea what these lyrics mean.
