We would probably have a thread up discussing it too, but until then, the game has not been announced, and none of us know anything. For all we could know the game could not be coming out (I'm doubtful that it won't).

If I remember correctly V4 AC was at extra rush 5 before V3 CS was announced

or was it when it was actually released? I hope this game doesnt end up like BM7th + Final did on PSX

Also note that there is a transition between hardware from V3>V4, and I am sure they have to do some extra work to get everything running like it would on a arcade game. Also That was when the hardware switched was it not? Maybe it was V3...

I dont know, but the background is always moving, and is not really a video (V3 sort-of) or image like the previous game(s), you know what i mean?

V3 still had the modded PS2. V4 has the BemaniPC. It's probably going to take some time because of the new hardware, probably. (like pop'n 15, although I have doubts about that.)

ya, thats what i thought. Not only that, but V5 has not been out too long either. Sometimes things take a while...

I doubt it is the bemani PC that is the hold up
IIDX has been running bemani PC since 9th style
and they look fine on PS2

The BemaniPC port to PS2 would not cause such a big delay. As said earlier, IIDX has been on PC hardware for a few years, so it's not like Konami doesn't know how to port a game over to PS2. Pop 'n Music's always been ported over to PS2 hardware, and that's usually not delayed.

I think Popn Adventure was the first popn to use BemaniPC,
10th through fever ran on Viper hardware

V4 and V5 run on BemaniPC hardware
GF/DM has been on Bemani PS2 from V through V3

Some people are complaining about the same thing with Pop'n 15. Obviously it hasn't been as long, but it is an older game, too. It's also BemaniPC.

If Pop'n 15 comes out first and there's still no word, THEN I'd be worried. But the series can't be doing as bad as it once was on PS2...well, I hope not!

Well with the 10th Anniversary for these games coming up its expected for something like this to happen.

If this is getting a PS3 release (which it won't) it wouldn't be an odd thing in my view....maybe a good thing. With online battles (Battle), updates whenever you get a new record and the e-amusement updates for charts whenever you get a certain level....This is something that might be worth the extra 10 dollars for the PS3

As long as they can fix their problem with the whole guitar not working or PS3 thing (or re-release a controller for the PS3) the game would be perfect.

But maybe I'm thinking too big and too ahead of Konami at this point because there's still no DDR:X announcement for PS3 (which won't happen) and IIDX: DJT is already going to the PS2....so we just have to wait.
