The new Drum setup looks awesome and menacing at the same time.

I just hope Konami will pick licenses with heavy double bass charts, plus rechart the previous licenses (Panasonic Youth, Nemesis, Leaving All Behind) with how they should be played in the first place.

Which means having to spend over $70 AGAIN to import the CS controller needed to play the game if they make 1...Though I wonder if GH/RB guitars will work, unless it does that thing where it'll keep going to the left.

I've been dreaming of 5-button GF and expanded DM before GH was even announced.. it's about fucking time! D: I'm just worried that none of the arcades around here will even consider spending (what will likely be) an ungodly amount of cash on brand-new cabinets. At the very least, they had better put out some CS installments.
I'm also a little concerned about the likelihood of them actually going and recharting 500+ songs for two games. Seems more likely that we'll get the obligatory new stuff, a majority of songs from recent V's, and the more popular old songs (if that), which should leave plenty of opportunity for eAmuse revivals down the line. On the plus side, I'm optimistic about Long versions finally getting some bass love, and I'm VERY excited to think that some old songs will receive some long-overdue re-charting (Mr. Machine, etc). This is all assuming they don't just kick pre-V stuff to the curb, of course
Can't wait for more info..
Edit: Just noticed that it has an extra cymbal as well. So... double-bass, three toms, two cymbals, and possibly hi-hat pedal? I like that DMXG is basically DTXMania
Edit Edit: Just a thought, but if the ratings do indeed go up to 9.99 or 10.0, and Vampire Killer EXT is a 6.95 from an 82.. they either dumbed down it's chart, or the overall difficulty ceiling just went up quite a bit, extra buttons notwithstanding. Fun!

This seems to be another innovation Konami is making to its Bemani games. DDR recently got a new cab and is getting an 8-panel mode in the upcoming CS, IIDX has added long notes and "back-spin scratch" at the location test for SIRIUS, and now we have this...
Anyways, that machine looks absolutely beautiful.
