I think V6 kinda _is_. It's got the longest song list of any release, I think, they brought back quite a lot of old stuff (and some extended versions) and hardly dropped anything. It does kinda feel like a 'this is the final version' mix to me, that theory makes sense.

I'm wrestling with the idea of the new life gauge. On one hand, it makes sure that one doesn't make songs like A.Dogma and Rock to Infinity sound like a mess, but the difficulty of the games are already so high that this is only going to lead to more frustration for newcomers.
Also, it looks like the lanes are covering up the videos. That better get fixed on the official release.
well, if it has a passmark lifebar then it should be able to drop to 0 without penalty, right
While that's true, I'm happy with the no fail on first stage feature they added in V6. Even if it drops to zero, you still get to play. If they make the lifebar like IIDX/Pop'n then there's no "Oh shit I'm like 2 misses away from failing superintensegameplay go"

But then it becomes "ohshitbetterfullcombotheendingwhoamygod."
The life gauge requirement is the first disappointing thing I've heard about this game if it's true.
They should just keep it with IIDX & pop'n, seeing how these two are the flagship and the popular jock of Bemani, respectively.
Heck, because of that gauge requirement, I can easily see people failing BPM speed demons such as sotto., Seiron, Timepiece Phase II, Souhaku, Across the Nightmare, and Funky sonic World. Good god, Funky sonic World.
