I think the life gauge requirement is valid. I could see it being a problem if you are using tight mode.
Although some of those songs are tough to spam through ^_^

I don't have a problem with the life gauge changing though I hope for at least the first mix they lower the default damage level a notch.

Interesting stuff.

Anyways, things are gonna get harder obviously (given that there are more areas of focus now). Heck, I kinda forgot that they added a "crash" cymbal (is that right?) for this new cab. Still, the new cabs are indeed a welcome and thus will indeed force those that want to get this new versions to purchase brand new cabinets.

Indeed, I can't wait for its release next year

True

Still, the temptation is indeed very strong. Heck, even just by looking at the pics, I can already feel its intimidating presence. The presence of these kickass cabinets is somthin'.

XG is definitely the most imposing bemani cabinet I have ever seen. I'm still not totally sure how I feel about it.

I mean, yeah I'm definitely excited about it and I really would like a chance to play it, but I don't know if I'm going to ultimately like it better than the drummania we have now. I guess I'm just worried that it's changing a bit too much.

I'm personally hoping they keep both lines going, but I know that's rather unlikely.

I am really REALLY hoping, that they at least have the system from the previous ones. You know, where if you hit it dead on, you get perfects, or if you are off, then its greats or boo's . That's one thing that I would really like to have on there . Because it would be easy and shit otherwise.

Er, why wouldn't they do that? That's how all Bemani are now. <:\

Like I said, I can't imagine Konami doing that when their music games are basically built on the principle of multiple judgments. I wouldn't worry about it, Zarcom. :P

Konami milking money would be asking for $30k-40k. $20k actually sounds about right.

Keep in mind, it's not cheap to produce these cabinets plus the game. Money goes to pay everyone that's thrown something in this, from the wood and custom decals, to the construction, to the software that's made, not including all the marketing that goes into this.

Did anyone else see those speaker stacks on the GFXG cab? Are those things for real? That's gotta be fake.

I'd hope not, imagine the sound depth you could get outta those! While I wouldn't expect the entire towers to be as full of sound as they're portraying, I'd expect far better than what the machines currently have.

well, depth is the operative word. speaker stacks that big sound best several meters away, they're not really what you want for someone sitting half a metre from the things.
