GDP? Aww, great. Now our gross domestic product is being taken into account. Looks like the US finally will have an upper hand over Japan!

Seriously, though. Didn't Konami already officially say at the loc tests for XG that there would be no V7? Did loc tests go that badly? :\

I guess you could think of the regular GFDM series as beatmania I and XG as IIDX. They'll be running concurrently for a while before they make a GFDM THE FINAL while XG goes on forever. OF course GFDM is WAY more popular than beatmania I so that's probably not gonna happen any time soon.

V7 upgrade more ecnomical than XG setup. Maybe most arcades are willing to shell out the extra yen.,

Guess the V series will be like normal beatmania & XG will be the IIDX of GF/DM, kinda like what navfn2000 said.
