How does the V3 unlock system work again? I'm assuming it's similar to the arcade mechanism.

The EXTRA RUSH system is there, and I presume that you unlock things as you reach new rush levels.

EDIT: Ooh, I just noticed that TABIDACHI is a Lv.1 Extra Stage song, and it's about 20-21 on Basic on all guitar modes, so that'll make it really easy to get encore

It looks like the last two preview songs are Feel the BREEZE and INSIDE OUT but I'm not sure how you're supposed to unlock them. I see stuff about the V4 password thing being related, but I dunno.

Time will tell!

Well, shut my mouth. I guess I was wrong about the V4/CS stuff.
Please Konami, no stupid unlock passwords.

I got the game.
Random thoughts:

The game came with a small comic book. I still have no idea what's going on in it. I may put up scans when I have free time.

Midnight Sun Long Version on GF = hyper-pick up the ass. I can't even beat it on ADV . DM EXT is only in the mid 70s and didn't look that bad.

Tabidashi is too short! I wouldn't be surprised if it was yet another song he did in one of those Gradius games.

黄金岬 (the default song after you unlock it on the GF side) is really good.

It looks like beating songs with high difficulties with high grades fills up the Extra Rush gauge much more quickly.

I think the video for Keiko My Love got updated. It looks too smooth.

If you mean it automatically updates every two weeks, I hope not. :P

In the upper right corner, there is a circle with the Extra Rush level number in it. On the inside edge, there is a gauge that fills up every time you clear a song. Once the gauge is filled up, you get a level up and you get a bunch of unlocks. As I said before, the harder the song and the better the grade, the more that the gauge goes up.

There are only 3 or 4 levels, followed by "level MAX" and then I think there's another level after that because the gauge is filling up again. I'm still a bit surprised how short it took to unlock most of it. It only took me around 3 hours to get to level MAX.

Also, I think you can unlock the Extra Stage songs from just beating them.

The Extra Stage songs typically unlock when you reach the next Rush level.

There's levels 1-4, then MAX, then Infinity. I believe that's the last one.

CONFIRMED...sort of.

If you have the game and VLC player, open up /DATA/PACK/D0003/PACK0097.PAK and drag the bar to the second half. There are two ending credit movies. The first half has the credits without the secret songs listed under "Clip Artists" and the second half has the credits with the secrets listed in the same section.

If you're bored, you can open up the other pack files with VLC player and watch the background movies without sound. Some don't work, while some do. This works with all V series and MP series games.

Yeah, I just watched the credits after finishing an expert course and they listed all of that.

What's funny though is that the list doesn't name the extra stage songs, and only thanks their video producers. I laughed since I didn't see model ft2 listed anywhere, and realized what they did.

I tried out Battle Mode. Looks like you get some big progress on the Extra Rush gauge if you play on that as well. I'm 2-3 and fell to C3 for now

I finally got to level infinite.
All this time, I though the playable V3 theme was an extended version. Wrong! It's the same 15 second intro with probably the toughest excite gauge stuck along with it. 3-4 misses and you're dead. It beats Day Dream DM EXT as the most gimmicky song in the series.

This page has info about what to do with that code in the e-amuse option

Bah, this game has an unlockable new default song too? I hate those.

I know it's crazy to care so much, but I for some reason I do. In MPS I thought Hikari E was the perfect default song, and then they go and replace it with that Tomosuke song which is also an excellent default song, but not as good. In MPG...wasn't as big a deal there, but I still preferred the original default song to the one you unlock.

Yeah, I pay too much attention to things that aren't important. On a similar note, if they revive Come With Me or Remember You in IIDX14 CS, I'll be very upset.

Oh hey guys, speaking of intro song, look what I found. Check it out.

Very ominous, when in expert mode, the song previews scroll from song to song, but it doesn't play anything when it lands on "Thank you for playing"

I'm going to play the course now and see if its just not the 10 second ending theme, since they put a whole full version song in the middle of the course.

edit: Its even shorter than the other song, its literally the game over sound. Wow

For arcade to CS (since I don't think you care about CS to arcade):

You put your cardnumber in that top spot, your "PIN" in the second spot, and then you put this password that you grab from the Keitai site in the last one. Then you get a message saying you've gotten a new song(s).

V3 theme song - YouTube - GFDM V3 CS - V3りマプニãƒģグ I was wrong about the length. It's 20 seconds long.

You mean the one that's on the album since it's the album version?

Anyhow, I was a little let down by the fact that the end of the Drum EXT chart isn't that crazy, and it doesn't seem that you're hitting every note. Oh well.
