It's the preview that doesn't make me like it that much. If I'm forced to play it, I'm alright w/ it. I perfer to play it on GF than DM.

Yeah, V3CS has insane replay value, with all that e-amuse stuff shoved in there. IMO this game wasn't so much about unlocking songs so much as all the other things to unlock -- titles, avatars, and so on.

B.) Revival list is mostly awesome since we got Classic Party Triathlon, Riff Riff Orbit, Lucky?Staff, Tierra Buena, Misirlou, Keiko My Love, O Jiya, & Wall Street Down-Sizer, but some were just "....why?" Fly High doesn't even have an Extreme on Drums! Also great that we got 4th/3rd Mix & older revivals (Lucky?Staff, Wanna Be Your Boy, Happy Man, Midnight Spe...wait, that song got annoying from DDR). Perhaps Jet World, Across The Nightmare, Cutie Pie, Fire, P.P.R, Centuar, Primal Soul, Classic Party 1 & 2, & Sea Anemones will have a chance of getting revived?

I second all those great Izumi and Weckl revivals... Centaur (and similarly, Waza) probably won't get revived because they only have drum charts (I think...). I really hated Fly High... it sounds like ass. The guitar charts for Gylay's CS song is somewhat fun to play... but I also think it sounds like ass. I kinda stopped paying attention to the singer after Desert Rain. Man was I disappointed with his CD.. >_>

D.) It's either me from playing so much Masterpiece Silver & Gold, or it seems the game is.....easier. I mean, I've got about 9 more songs to clear on Extreme on drums. Guess I'll have to replay the MP games & find out.

Good, I'm not alone! I remember popping in MG in recently and being apalled by all the greats that kept popping up...

H.) V4 Previews are AWESOME. Not only did we get FOUR, we got some greats ones too. I mean, Inside-Out, Feel The Breeze, & Swimming In Love (I liked it, but would've traded it for, say, Charismatic) was cool enough, but then we got JAKE IN THE BOX. Hell yeah.

Jake in the Box was half of why I decided to buy the game. The other half.... Midnight Sun (Long Ver.) The guitar charts are insane... waaay too fast, but watching Izumi shred = sex

I.) CS-songs were....wierd. We got a alright Gradius tune (Tabidachi), some stupid, easy song, nice little P-Bombers song (LOVE the fact I gotta hit the drum to the telephone), great but super easy romantic song (Tears of Happiness), "meh" Gylay song, & a "HOLY FREAKIN' SH!T, THIS IS AWESOME!!!" Mutsuhiko Izumi long song (drum solo at end = win.)

Hey, that "stupid easy song" sounds good at least. Nice to see that Motoaki's still alive and kicking, though I'm not too big a fan of his chart styles. Koizuka, on the other hand... well, no comment

J.) Random HATES me. I got Cassandra TWICE during Standard Mode (though I was selecting Random Existing so I could get some Player Titles). Plus Happy Man a few times.

I've yet to get all the random titles. I keep getting FT2MV on ran all -_-

L.) Battle Mode kinda feels whacked out. Sometimes, Drum Battle (I'm at C1, I think) is either too hard or REALLY close (I slightly won). I think I selected too low for Guitar (breezed through them).

It all depends which focus you choose. Normal's the most straightforward one... but Combo and Perfect focus give you a better chance at winning, depending on which one you're better at. The Battle Mode is a nice touch, but I can't help but notice that it's not very "realistic" -- SS-ranked dudes should not be getting 90% perfect :/

So, is this my fav. out of the 3 I own (MP Silver & Gold, plus this)? Honestly, it's a TIE between V3 & MP Gold.

V3 gives V a good run for the "Best CS arcade port", but I'm still not willing to put it over MG. MG's tracklist is just too damned good XD

Here's 3 songs that slipped past my radar the first few months.

Swimming in Love- Wow. At first I basically put up with the first half to get to the second, but the whole thing grew on me just like Doki Doki. Come to think of it, I swear I hear a little sample of it somewhere in there

Summer Sun- I remember many complaints about this one not being on Silver or Gold, and when I first heard it I didn't get it. The songwheel clip is the worst part of the song so I let it sit. But what a fine cheese, it reminds me of an early 90's song if the 80's didn't exist or something

Classic Party triathlon- The video makes me want to puke, but this is the best Classic anything on any Bemani. I was never big on the Waldeus von Classics, or the other Party's so I didn't touch this one for a while. What I love so much are the charts-they warm me up so fast


I guess this is true with all music but I've found with GFDM the songs that blow me away right off the bat get old the fastest- it's the ones that leave me scratching my head at first that have the most potential.

I don't care for Triathlon, and I really liked 3, and Revival. It let me down big time. The build up is too much, and the chart is terrible.

I agree with Summer Sun though. Some GFDM demos are so bad, where they just use the start of the song instead of actually trying. That's why it took me a while to get around to Midnight Sun on MPS. It's still not as bad as in Pop'n though.

I've always thought of Fairy Tales sort of carrying on the Classic Party series, not just the Model DD's. Maybe both though, because they're both boss songs. And because Fairy tales has a bunch of characters, but hot ones.

Asaki has a few songs that are linked together... Surreal told me about it once but I've forgotten

I think KonoKono is a continuation of the story told in... Shizuku? Not really sure <|8^D

I really hope they bring Shizuku over in V5. It'd make a decent mid-70s song to compliment Gekkouchou at least

Yeah, there was a GDA of an Asaki medley that I had way back when and it was good. Kono Kono is supposed to be prequel to the song from Pop'n music 幸せを謳う詩 (shiawase wo utau uta), and it came before kono kono on the Asaki Album. Excellent song, I wish it had been included in GFDM.

Kono ko is the sequel

Shiawase is about the woman waiting for her man....(While she is already pregnant)

Kono ko is about 7 year later after the child is born (and died)


It would be sooooooooo awesome if they link the 2 songs together and play it as one huge song that counts as 4 songs........
