Default help with dtxplorer

i can't manage to use the hi-hat controller of my dtxplorer for the bass drum of PS2's drummania V2
every other pad are recognized

i can't also make it work when drumming only with the drumkit
does the hi-hat require specifi configuration?
or does it mean that it is broken ( I bought the drumkit today)
thanks in advance

I'm not sure if you can use the hi-hat controller pedal as a bass pedal. If you can, you'd pretty much have to plug it into the Kick port (or whatever it's called on your model) since I think that's the only port that the game looks to for bass drum signals.

Do you not have a real kick sensor?

i think that the hi-hat controller doesn't work at all, i'll go back to the shop next week (the drum modul doesn't respond when i press it)

you must plug the stereo jack type for hi hat controller (the one with 2 stripes) if you have mistaken, the other pad will works fine but if you connect hi hat controller using other's jack, it wont recognized.
try to check it up. should works fine with drummania (when you stomp, will trigger hi-hat pad)

See if you can set the MIDI out signal for your hihat controller to be the same as the bass. I'm not familiar with the DTXPLORER module so I'm not sure - but I think you can do it if you try.

I have that same hi hat control pedal and it can't be used as a bass pedal, I've tried it myself. It's not meant to function that way, you need a kick pad, or you can just rig up an extra pad and run that into the kick port and set a bass pedal in front of it.

And yes it needs to use the stereo cable or else it will not work.

I think i plugged it right : i plugged the hi-hat control jack in the hi-hat controller, so i think it's ok. but when i stomp it nothing happens in the module. i mean when a pad registers, you can see the signal on the dtx module right? in this case i see nothing. i don't even have headphones to see if the hihat control produces sound, or if it's just broken

here is what i did

Yeah it should register on the display like all the other pads. If you're absolutely sure that you have it connected properly with a stereo cable, then I guess you've got a broken pedal. Sorry

I connected it with the provide cable is that alright??
it's ok i've got a two years warranty, even if it's a waste of time i'll get an other one soon...

°£ÆíÇÑ µ¿¿µ»ó ¼¼»ó- ¿¥¿£Ä³½ºÆ® if you watch here, the guy uses the hi-hat controller for the bass with masterpiece silver, so it's seems possible to use it instead of the kick pedal

paskok2r, try to :
1. unplug your hihat controller cable and replug (on both jacks)
2. unplug your HI HAT cable and replug (on both)

restart your DTXplorer module. and try if its working now. yesterday suddenly i have same prob with my DTX and was thought that my hihat controller was broken, shit.. and i did like that, and it working fine now.
also if you stomp and hold the hihat the controller & open (release) the hihat controller and hit the hihat it will produce different sound right? (open & close hihat) if it does than no prob with your hihat controller, just need to adjust the height of the trigger (on front of hihat controller, can be adjusted using special square screwdiver that came with your DTXplorer)
set it lower or just adjust yourself. hope these will work.

The hi hat controller only manages the close and open position of the hi hat. I dont think its used in the DM games.

The hi hat controller pedal doesnt work well as a bass drum if that is what you are trying to do. I have tried it before and you have to step really hard and it registers as a drum stroke when you release the pedal. Just use the beater pedal.

I think if you step on the high hat pedal the signal registers in the hi hat slot on the module
