Help: DTXPLORER and GF4DM3

Short version: How do I get my DTXplorer to work with GF4DM3?

Today I decided to go back and play some of the older GFDM games with my new DTXplorer. After being disappointed that Drummania (the first one) doesn't support any USB drums, I moved on to try GF4DM3. Unfortunately I can't seem to get it to work. It seems that only specific drum sets are supported with that game, but I'm hoping I'm just doing something wrong. My drum set works fine on all the new ones from MPS on.

You drum more than likely just doesn't work on the earlier games, the end.

The newer games from the masterpieces and Vs on have a wider support of drumsets, but earlier games had very specific compatibilities, and like you said, Drummania 1 doesn't even support any drum sets at all.

You should've waited for a Dao asc. Since they are going to use playstation pcb's for their input method, all mixes including the first, will be compatible with it.

actually i have dtxplorer and all gfdm cs,
drummania the first one and GF3DM2 cant work with DTXplorer, but GF4DM3 should work with dtxplorer.
maybe you can set at option menu? and go into silent session config or sumthin, i forgot it already since i work overseas now and my dtxplorer is at my home (miss it.. )

4th/3rd really just seems limited. It has some selections for you to make that specifically say DTX series and DD something or other series (running off memory), but it didn't matter. I fiddled with it at a friend's house (who owns a DTXplorer for DM purposes), and we simply couldn't get it to work on 4th/3rd.

My DTXpress at first wasn't recognized by GF4/DM3.

The DTXpress module was powered on before I booted up the PS2.

After going through all the options and what not, I just did the most simple thing imaginable and it worked: I went to the screen where you test the drum inputs, turned off my DTXpress module, and then turned it back on, and then hit the pads to see if they registered on the screen, and they did.

Try that with your DTXplorer.

i dont know anyone with a DTXplorer
but i know for sure the DTXpress III works
