Help on scoring system on V

I noticed that sometimes the percentages I get of "Perfects" doesn't register after I play the song.

For example, lets say I was playing "Going up" and previously had 67%. I get 73 this time (reading perfects only) and yet the song selection shows up as only 67%.

Is there something I'm missing? And no, I never play on auto anything.

I'm pretty sure that your combo and the number of greats also count towards the skill percentage. Perhaps your previous try had a longer combo than your current try.
