Default Holy crap! at KBM

I just got both games and the controller the other day, and I was playing for about 2 hours. How the **** are you supposed to get good at it? I mean, I was expecting the learning curve to be steep, but WOW.

Ahahahahahahaha!~
I remember when I felt the same way as you when I first played the games! xD

Learning curve's a bitch, but it didn't take me too long to get used to the key positions.....I'd say it took me a couple days to get the basics down. I play the game with one hand, just like I do BM I/IIDX.

After a couple weeks:
Mighty Guy [REAL] - MySpaceTV Videos: Keyboardmania - Mighty Guy [R] by Trip Machina

Carezza [Light+] - MySpaceTV Videos: Keyboardmania - Carezza [L+] by Trip Machina

Now, I've gotten a "GOOD PLAY" and a "GREAT PLAY", but never have I gotten a "MARVELOUS", however (see below):
...this is impossible --> YouTube - Keyboardmania - Carezza con una mano

Practice, basically

That's all there really is to it.

Not being a big IIDX doubles player yet, I'm just gonna practice my fingers off, which is what I was planning to do either way, I guess I just felt like having a mini rant.

Also, to Trip Machina: I believe that THIS would be a bit harder to do. O_O

Actually come to think of it, they both probably had those songs memorized, but still.....

KBM is probably the easiest game to memorize songs, because it's not just pushing arbitrary buttons (at least most of the time)

Take a basic piano course or buy a beginner's piano book, then use those skills towards keyboard mania.

I know that sounds redundant but that should help, or simply find a video tutorial or something heh.

See yaz bye.

play piano to get the fingers down. Then just practice, and play play play!

Also do you mean your having trouble playing on the easiest difficulty? That does not sound right if thats true I got going at the arcade instantly.

I'm starting myself out on light+ rather than light. It feels to me that if I started on light, it would be like learning to play 5 button on pop'n, and then moving on to 9 button, which seems dumb to me.

Keyboard Mania is easy if you've been playing piano for a while.

On a slightly off-topic, anyone know where I can buy KM1 and KM2+3 AND the controller? Preferably new but I'll take what I can get.

I can vouch that in Japan they're hard as freaking crap to find. I don't mean to be rude, but I don't know if getting them new is going to be possible. The only ones I've seen on shelves are used. If I see something I'll shout out though.

E-Bay is your only answer.

Otherwise you might as well go the different route....modding .
