But there still is no guide. So now: how do i mod the guitar hero controller to not hold left. | |

Total Tokens: 3,494,580.18 Donate Tokens | Making it not hold left isn't the issue. To make it register as a Guitarfreaks contrller, it has to hold both left AND right. Making it stop holding left or add holding right are, unfortunately, practically impossible without wiring an entire new board into the controller.
The Guitar Hero control chip is what actually sends the bits to the PS2 that tell it it's holding down left, so soldering will do you no good. You just have to sever all the wires, find the contacts for the internal microswitches, and rewire everything to a PS1 controller.

In order to get the GH controller to work on GFV you could set it to control setting 3 (as I recall) and it would use fret 2, 3, and 5, and you were only able to pick up. However, button assignment is kind of irrelevant when you're wiring it yourself.
