How do you play Keyboardmania

So i was just curious on the actual technique some people use to play KBM. My wife and I both play together and I've noticed that we have completely different styles as to how we play. For instance, i use more of a piano style as in, i try to play it like i'm playing a piano (though i don't know how to play piano lol), and my wife uses more of a IIDX style to play. I can pass harder songs than she can, but she gets much better scores than me. That probably has to do more with timing issues but still, one can wonder.

So yea, whats your technique?

well when I played at arcade infinity on vacation last year, I played like I would IIDX. I could pass song like that, and I have played the piano as a child (I forgot how to play), and that was what I first tried to do when i played, and I just really cant play like that.

I play piano style. At least I try to. I know my hand placement is usually wrong, but at least I hold the notes for the duration of the sound and always use the same hand on notes that are close together.

I think playing IIDX-style takes away the fun but that's just me. Play IIDX the IIDX-way, and keyboardmania the keyboardmania-way (lol)
