I have a collection of songs from all the GF/DM games up until V on my iTunes, and when one of those songs comes up on Shuffle, about 80% percent of the time I can't tolerate listening to the whole song and have to skip it. I finally decided to just go through and uncheck most of the music off the shuffle list because it just drives me nuts. It's fun to play, but just listening to it is not fun for me most of the time.

pop'n music has alot of hidden gems, ESPECIALLY in the older games. As of now, there's WAY too much ee'MALL showing up!

Couldn't agree more. I put some songs on my ipod and after a while it will be like: wat the hell was i thinking?
I don't think that the majority of the songs suck, they might just not be catchy, but Konami did a good job of making good charts on most of the songs

Hahaha, I was listening to the V4 soundtrack before I actually got to play V4 and realized it wasn't too listenable. The songs are pretty much interesting based on the charts they correspond to. Nowadays though, I seem to imagine all rock songs with a DM chart and try to play along with it, if not in actually air drumming then at least in my head. I make little gestures like head tilting whenever I think "how would this phrase play?" and I nod whenever I think "oh this has good flow" and I wonder if people would stare at me strangely when I do this.
