Default I miss Keyboardmania...

Seriously-why did it go out of style in 2001 *I think*? I mean, it really IS a great game. I feel that Konami needs to do a "Keyboardmania Revival" or something like that.

Oh, and if this isn't in the right posting area, please move it to said area. I'd appreciate it.

If you're willing to shell out the money for a Yamaha EZ-250i keyboard, it comes with Keyboardmania Yamaha Edition which lets you import your own MIDI files and play along to those

Eff that, I still play KBM whenever I get the chance in the arcade. Tons more fun than playing at home.

Yeah, KBM is great... and there was development started on KBM 4th MIX, as I recall, though the project was abandoned due to a lack of interest. I still like my KBM PS2 games, though the arcade 2nd MIX I can play is even more awesome--the home version effector wheel doesn't feel right.

It's quite disappointing how there is no new Keyboardmania mixes. It's a cool game that I used to play in the arcades before the machine stopped opreating at that place. All's that left of Bemani is DDR, IIDX, GF/DM with session, PPP, and Pop'n machines.

shungokusatsu: What's wrong with it? Won't boot? Physically damaged? If the board is defective, it's a Bemani Firebeat board, which is rather common--pop'n music <=8, Para Para Paradise, and a few other games all run on it, so finding an old one someone has warehoused might be possible. If it has to be ordered from Japan, though, shipping is a pain, since it is a very awkward size. More than likely, someone has one sitting on the shelf after upgrading to a later version of pop'n music, and they might be willing to part with it cheap. Revive the KBM!

i think konami is doing something great with kbm atm, and keep it for the future, if one of the games are going to die. maybe something similair to KBM. The hype with all the games atm should stop sometime in the future i think [:

I'd like to see not so much of a Keyboardmania revival (don't get me wrong I love KBM and still play it in the arcade,) but a new Keyboard game that would hopefully have the kind of success Guitar Hero has had on the mainstream. With a fair-priced controller and a bucketload of recognizable pop/rock songs (maybe 1 or 2 obscure but awesome electronica songs too) it'd be a recipe for success.

Um, you do know that you can run the software without the CD, right? So unless you uninstalled it from your comp you can still play it. Unfortunately my old PC blew up so I'm fucked.

Don't know exactly, but the machine is physically there. It's just that the machine is not operating, which probably mean something is wrong with the machine.

I wonder with more increased interest such as this would Konami give thought to doing KBM 4th mix again. Personally, I like this game more than Guitar Freaks, and Drummania. Now GF&DM are great games, but Keyboardmania for some reason is just that much better. Plus, it introduced Pink Rose, my absolute favorite song in Bemani to date.

For a normal person though it is the hardest Bemani game IMO, even Light+ is pretty tricky. I love KBM though, i wish it was more popular though, piano music is amazing.
