Default I too modded my pik (revival :)).

1) Don't try it.

2) DON'T FUCKING TRY IT.

3) The wires to this controller suck, the whole layout TO this contoller sucks, need I say more? Who the fuck uses mini-pcb's to even create this damn thing. It was a clever idea, but uesless at the same time, what a bad combination, because it will give you SOME HARD REACTIOSN .

4) I SAID, don't fucking try this , seriously, you are better off just playing in the arcade, unless if you can create a guitar controller yourself, then POST AWAY GODDAMNIT.

5) The one upside to this whole ordeal, is to gut the controller and use its parts (liek the RGB wires) to create your own controller, I think i just covered this, IM TIRED .

6) Even if you are successful with modifying the pik (aka shortening the springs by eitehr cuting them or purchasing new ones), WATCH OUT FOR THE DINKY AND FRAGILE WIRES, THEY SUCK AND ARE NTO STURDY AGHH .

7) There is no 7th step, this is unlucky (yeah, thats a bad pun :P).

8) "number eight....*BELTCH*.

9) I am done with 9.

10) Delete this thread also.

See yaz bye.

So what, you actually took the spring and cut them down to size?... I thought Jubrany just removed extra springs or something. I don't want to cut metal and stuff.

Yeah, I trimmed it down a bit.

You are more then welcome to come over and try it out and tell me what you think?? .

If you screw up on the springs though, they are easy as hell to replace , home depot is your friend .

See yaz bye.

Ugh I really don't want to do anything rash about my ASC since it costs more than 2 Playstation2's combined price-wise. On the other hand I really want the pick to get as light as it is in the arcade's. Will "abusing" the pick get it lighter? I've put many thoughts in this since I revived Jubrany's thread about modding the ASC pick...

for me i removed one spring on each side of the pick and it's perfect. The best solution would actually to replace the springs by lighter one

Cellac: if your pic has a PCB on the front of it, you should be abel to remove the tiny little black screws. Then after taht, there is NO (at least on mine) PCB inside the pik itsself.

If you guys want, I can make a 3d simulation of the controller.

or a youtube video, but I dont know if I should, lol I might get in shit.

Aside from my wrist and fingers killing me right now (damn that bolt was TOUGH), I will post a youtube video on gameplay .

See yaz bye.

I talking like, nice quality Tatsujin stuff (not that I'm amazing or anything, just want to showcase that this controller is actually good ), besides, how can i hold cellphone while playing?

So does hyperplucking become a little easier after modding the pick?

Before I could not hyperpick, period. Now, it's pretty good. I've been playing on Arcade for so long.. that it's a slightly noticeable difference.. but I think it's 95% arcade accurate. Just in the last hour I increased my SP on V by 200 points.. not that I played it much at all to begin with but still... Escape to the Sky 99% skill up from 60% and Funky Sonic World 97% skill up from 50% are enough to convince me that this is one great mod, a must do for any player.. I will take pictures and post a simple guide later.

Modded mine, removed 2 springs, works great. I just have to adjust my playing style to the lighter pick now.

So out of interest does anyone have any idea *why* the ASC has this issue? Anyone know why Konami doesn't just make it exactly like the arcade guitar, which is supposedly the point? I don't understand why the ASC can't just be the arcade peripheral with a different cable...
