Total Tokens: 990.55 Donate Tokens | It's all about the springs So, yeah, after experimenting with the grease I realized while it did help make the pick smoother (by a tiny bit) it did not make the pick move easier...
I wish I could open up an Arcade pick and see what springs they use...
The springs in the ASC are just too stiff.
I decided to remove 2 springs again, and now it works amazingly...
The secret is to make sure that the plastic tip of the pick rests in the DEAD CENTRE of the optical sensors.
My problem before was one of the springs I used must have been bent a bit wrong and applying too much pressure on one side. So i found 2 of the 4 springs that were applying identical pressure and now it is perfect.
Although some people may not like just how easy it is to press the pick... I think it is the best you can do without changing to 4 weaker springs (obviously not easy since I wouldn't know where to find springs in that size).
I guess another thing to note is the pick might take an extra nanosecond or so to return to the centre after being pressed, but it does not prevent fast hyperpicking from working.
This will likely be my last blurb on this thread. Good luck to anyone that wishes to adjust their picks.

Also, wouoldnt it be easier just to do finger exercises. Sure everyone (and I mean EVERYONE), wants to have an arcade-PERFECT controller, I got news for you, nothing is perfect. The best way is to adapt and have stronger fingers, this worked for me. I am glad taht my pick is a bit stiff, this made my fingers a bit stronger and I can pass songs alot more clear, not perfect, but better then before :0. Your best weapon is knowledge, after all "knowledge is power ".
thats my 2 cents.

See yaz (im a little delirious from lack of sleep, been up since 6pm) bye. | But I've already been playing GF for 9 years
Also, 90+ songs are difficult enough already, no need for poor response to hold me down.
Even Iowa would suck with a stock ASC

Anyway, what I did (though I stripped a screw in the process...oh well, ive had worse) was this:
I loosed the screw roughly "1 twist layer-length" (if that makes any sense to you guys, please dont make me illustrate in ms paint lol), and so far the pick is better. Thus even if I "tab" it, it wont piss on me with stupid "goods" or "bads" anymore . Thus I made its responsiveness a little better.
I know this sounds bizzare, but it worked for me.

Fortunately enough, this is only on the "metal base" of the guitar controller.
What I was thinking of doing is usning solder and a "square piece" of wood so I can reconstruct the bolt itsself.
Any suggestions?? This is not really a big deal, but I attempt to open this again and look at the pick, considering I know how to do it, thanks to jabrany's pics (or whoever posted them, sorry I couldnt have time to look at the actual user name....damn vision :S).

lmao I stripped the bolt slightly on one of the hex-screws for the base hahah, but no worries, if/when/possibly I have time, I can easily use some solder (and a square-wooden toothpick) to "mold" the shape again and unscrew it (after the solder dries ).
everything works fine , except the pick is stiff but meh, I have better things to do lol.
