Default Keyboardmania Controller

I've been meaning to get into KBM. I was wondering what controllers everyone here uses, or suggest using. I was aiming towards a real KB (not sure what they would run up to for this game), unless its much more difficult to use than the KOC.

Are you talking about playing the official PS2 game, or playing on the computer? I used to use a regular MIDI keyboard for Doremi Mania and that worked fine.

A KOC is a lot easier to use than a MIDI keyboard for Keyboardmania (a KOC only has 2 octaves, I think)

As I understand it, KBM 2/3 on the PS2 can accept a variety of Yamaha midi keyboards but the original KBM only works with the KOC. But then if you wanted to play DoReMi on your PC the KOC is apparently incompatible with winxp drivers!

I guess the best option is to get the KOC and play on PS2 and if you fancied a bit of DoReMi then get yourself a separate short midi keyboard from ebay or somewhere, they can usually be found for pretty cheap!

This is the sort of position I am in right now because I really wanna play KBM but am somewhat low on monetary funds to purchase the essential items.....Bugger!!!

I use a KOC and I love it, My computer is a piece of junk so I don't play DoReMi. I'm not a serious Keyboard person though so KBM and KBM II are enough for me.

I guess if a Yamaha MIDI keyboard could work on the PS2, using a MIDI-USB cable. Please someone confirm

So I was wondering if someone could tell me the specific model of the keyboard that would work with kbm2+3 and doremei. Also I assume this keyboard could hit the up and down switches?
