Keyboardmania... which one?

That's right folks. I'm on yet another quest to buy another game that most don't like. I know how it works and I know it's annoying and pisses people off with it's 24 notes, but I don't care. I want it anyway. So here's the question.

Should I got Keyboardmania (it cost less), or keyboardmania 2nd and 3rd Mx. (It's more, but it's newer.) Which one should I buy. Does the second one have more songs or something? Just wondering. I already have a USB MIDI keyboard. Just wndering. If no one says anything (Which I hope won't happen,) I'm just gonna get the first one because it's less. Plus, if it's anything like IIDX, it'll be easier.

Even though they don't discuss about KBM in the GF / DM / KBM forums that much anymore, you can STILL make threads in there about KBM.

So yeah. Anyways, I'd say KBM II. More memorable songs and it's bigger altogether.

2 has a lot of cool songs and options and better to pick up on but part 1 has the FREE mode where it becomes a real piano and you can just play music. if youre going to learn piano go for 1, but 2 indeed has way better songs.

Wait, 1 has a piano mode? So... what, it just gives you a piano and you can play around on it? Or it has lessons or what? I'm interested in this.
I know how to play piano, I just wanna work on fingering and this MIGHT help a bit.

KBM 1 has just a free piano mode. Fun to play with, but not very interesting. It's also a CD based game like Pop'n Music Best Hits, so if your PS2 has problems with blue discs it could present an issue. I know my PS2 isn't a huge fan of loading KBM, but it works fine with KBMII.

Yea, free piano mode is the bomb
you can change the settings from jazz, synth, et etc, theres a bunch of settings really

That's sounds cool... but I can just open FL Studio or Reason if I wanna do that. XD

I'll go for KBII... Oh yeah. When it says 2nd and 3rd mix, are they on two different discs or is it 2 in 1?

It's a 2 in 1. That's the best disc IMO. Better songs, and the interface is better.
