Default KBM + PSR-275 = WTF?!?!

So I have Keyboardmania 2/3 for PS2, the Yamaha PSR-275, and a UX-16. I pluged the UX-16 the way that it's shown in the manual, and switched the keyboard to PC mode so it would use the midi terminals. Yet it still doesn't work... Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure KBM doesn't work with just any midi-usb interface or midi controller. Are you sure you have the right equipment?

Uh yeah...? LOL I'm even looking at my keyboard model, and it's a PSR-275, and my USB to Midi interface says Yamaha UX-16 right on the thing. It even came with the UX-16 box, and drivers for PC, and the manual even says that KBM works with UX-16.

Edit: and I know they both work since I use them when I write music on my PC.

No, I mean with the game. Obviously its going to work with a computer but the PS2 isn't just a regular computer

What I was asking is are you sure that the equipment you have is compatible with KBM to begin with

Uh... How would I figure that out? I don't remember seeing anything in the manual about that other than the part about 'plugging in a UX-16 into your keyboard' stuff.

I'm fairly sure that the PS2 KBM games have the drivers for the UX16, like the GFDM games. Try swapping the MIDI cables around. I think I had a similar issue where I had to connect the IN cable on the UX16 into the MIDI OUT in my drum module to get things to register.

Yeah I know KBM 2/3 has the UX16 drivers since it says so in the manual, and in the options you have midi options. I tried just using the In in both ports, along with the Out, and used both the correct, and the mixed way. Still nothing.

if im not wrong, there are 2 UX-16, the old model which is already stop produced and replace by the new one that we can find. Because I also own the latest UX-16 and last time i couldnt hook up my keyboard to my ps2 until i gave up.
i was searching all over internet i found statement somewhere, that the driver inside KM2/3 is the old driver for older UX-16 which cant handle new UX-16.

Well crap. Does anyone know where it could be possible to find the older models anymore?
