Actually, my DM KOC had arrived a couple days ago, and I must say that it's an awesome controller! Well worth the money, especially since I'm not all that great of a player yet....best I did was like a 44~45 level song.

The controller is very responsive and so is the bass foot pedal, which causes me no problems.....and it doesn't even move around all that much prolly 'cause I'm playing on thin carpet as well as the ice chest platform that I made (instead of the stand) having the pedal against it. Foot placement for me is---the bass pedal is to my right, so I have my foot on the pedal at a 45 degree angle, thus reducing pedal movement and increasing confort/pedal reliability.

A great investment indeed. The pads feel so good too. The black drumsticks are great too, as they also match with the controller.

And I'll chime in 3 months later...

I actually am enjoying the controller quite a bit myself. I have HUGE issues with the bass pedal mostly because I can't keep myself from moving, so perhaps that's just me sucking. I don't have a stand so the controller is a bit high, but for the price ($35) it was right. I would have been disappointed for $80 though.

It's just tough when our options are ONLY the DTX/DJ Dao, both for obscene amounts of money.

They really need a set with a double bass pedal for like... yeah the ability to play many many more songs, Supernova and Daydream just piss me off with a single bass pedal.

if you go for the KOC, you are going to have a very hard time playing anything past a 35. Also its really loud if you miss a drum, and you hit the drumset. Also the drums that you have to hit are like VERY small. Just save up for a cheap electronic set, and then buy a TX-40.

It is very possible to play cross handed on the Konami controller, but it will be a bit harder since your wrists are so close together. I could clear songs in the 70's range on the Topway controller (very similar to Konami's controller) and could've cleared more if I was skilled enough. However my friend has a Konami controller and the hihat stopped functioning properly after a year or so. My topway broke after a couple of years, but that was my fault.

Anyway, If you ever want to replace the foot pedal with a better one, check out this thread.
Modding/replacing the KOC bass pedal

I wouldn't bother replacing the sticks. Big heavy sticks just don't work very well on small drums.

I can pass most ~75 rated songs on a KOC after the pedal replacement
the biggest issue is not being able to comfortably play cross handed for song with alot of Hi-Hat like Funky Sonic World or Captivate

Question I have a Question.

Have any of you tried a Rock Band Drum set on the home versions of Drummania or the other way around?

DM is 5 drums and a pedal.
RB is 4 drums and a pedal.

At least in that sense I don't see RB drums working on DM. However, maybe you can use your DM drums on RB. I haven't had a chance to play RB yet so I'm not sure.
